In line with the Parish Council and SCC liasing with Highways, there is now a consultation period to review and consider the Speed limit reduction from 60MPH to 40MPH in Forton Heath.

"THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (BOROUGH OF SHREWSBURY & ATCHAM) (NO. 2) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT) ORDER
Statement of Reasons
The reduction of the National Speed Limit along the C1061 and sections of the adjoining roads (U1701 Broomfield Lane and U1909 Mytton Lane) is proposed to improve the safety of all road users along this length of public highway.

The Parish Council urge anyone reviewing to support the change and make Forton Heath a safer place for the residents impacted daily.
